About us....
Green Futures is a community garden based in a 3.5-acre site that’s been a market garden/plant nursery for much of the last 100 years. It’s a green sanctuary on the edge of Grimsby that provides volunteering opportunities for people from across the town, with some postcodes in the area falling in the 99 percentile for depravation. Our volunteers find sanctuary and companionship as well as a sense of purpose in our green-wellbeing space undertaking tasks such as seeding sowing, planting, growing, making and mending, repairs and maintenance.
This year we opened our nature walk that takes in the small woodland area at the back of our site. We've also got a pond and an orchard full of heritage apples. Green Futures is under new management and we have exciting plans for growing and developing this site in 2026.

Our vision
We want to see a world where people flourish through engagement with nature, to learn about growing and wildlife, and to reduce social isolation through creation of community and working on a shared project.
